The posts I’ve done recently( about waiting) were inspired when I was asked to write a devotion a few weeks ago. Huguenot Road Baptist in Richmond, one of our partner churches, compiles an Advent devotion book each year, and as mission partners we were asked to include some thoughts. As I wrote that piece more than a month ago, I began to think more seriously about the waiting-times in my day-to-day activities.
My devotion was included in the booklet and on the church’s website for today (Friday, Dec. 7).
- Click on this link or on the screen-shot below to access the devotion on their website.
- On the right-hand side of the page, click the link for December 7 (if it has rotated off the main Advent page, use this link).
Incidentally, I also encourage you to look through the posts by other church members and mission partners. If you don’t have an Advent devotion you’re following right now, this would be a great one to use! You can even have the devotions delivered straight to your email inbox each day – look on the bottom right side of the page for that link.
