Back Home in Kosice

We have wonderful news to share:  Yesterday (Tuesday 1/29) we have arrived safely back in Kosice and are settling in again!

2013-01-29 14.21.37The trip back was incident free, and we had no problems getting into the country.  We were met at the airport by two dear friends from the church, who helped us get our things back to our flat – which they had warmed for our arrival. 🙂 This morning we went to the office for the foreigner police and made some big steps toward finalizing this visa process.  Finally, we hope the girls can return to school tomorrow – they are excited to see their friends!

Things have gone so well these last couple of days, and we are once again humbled that so many of you have lifted us up in prayer.  We know that God has heard your prayers, and we have certainly heard your encouragements over comments, email and telephone.  Now we can begin to find our ‘home-rhythm’ again, and resume the learning and ministry that we left here almost three months ago.

Thanks be to God!!  We look forward to sharing more soon,

Jon & Tanya (and girls)

    1. Thanks Karen – one of the first things we saw when we came in the door was our mail stacked neatly on our desk… which included yours and Fred’s Christmas card. Gave us a warm smile of friendship and memories from Kenbridge. Thanks! 🙂

  3. So glad you have arrived safely. We prayed for you tonight at RFBC with Dr. F voicing the prayers that our hearts were raising, rejoicing in your safe return, thankful that you can now resume your study and your work, thankful for you and your family and your Christian witness!

    1. Thank you Sandra and RFBC! We can definitely tell that so many people have been praying! We are thankful for your partnership, and hope that you and some RFBC folks can come to see us sometime. 🙂

  4. Greetings, Beeson alums. We have added you to our regular prayer list. Wish we had known you were in Louisville for a few months so we could visit with you or have you visit our church (Faith Baptist in Georgetown). I featured you in our Mission Moment for Global Missions offering. We came very close to meeting our goal. So glad you are safely back in your “home”. May God bless your ministry. 1. Thanks, Judith – it’s so good to hear from you! We’ll let you know when we’re back in the US for a while, and we can catch up with you in person… unless you just happen to wander through Eastern Europe before then. 🙂
