This morning (Sunday, 2/10) we’ll read scripture in worship at Franklin Baptist Church in Franklin, Virginia.
You read that right – we’ll do a scripture reading and greeting, but not in person. We’ve sent them a video recording of us doing the scripture reading (Zephaniah 3:14-20) as a family. This was their idea (thanks, pastor Brent Kimlick!) and this is a great and easy way for us to give a personal greeting to your church or group, and be a part of your worship service!

If you’d like to try something like this, let us know. We’ve figured out how to do it, and we’re glad for any chance to be connected with your church family.
It was great! Michelle
I can’t tell you how powerful this was in both of our worship services yesterday! As we concluded our Week of Prayer for the Global Missions Offering, folks were able to see and hear your family read the scripture lesson. They were able to put ‘faces’ with the Offering. I look forward to doing this again soon with the Parks and other missionaries that we partner with.
This is a great idea. Maybe you, Tanya and the girls can do a children’s sermon for us and we can show it on the “big screen”? Bob Smith usually preaches using the lectionary so I sometimes go on-line to get ideas for a children’s sermon. Just let me know when you can do it if it sounds like something you might want to try. I thought the children would especially enjoy seeing Abigail and Kaitlyn.
Great idea, Karen!! Which Sunday would you like to try for?
