Most of the photos we post here are our own… for various reasons, today’s are not! We had a unique opportunity this week to see a concert in one of Kosice’s concert halls, the Dom Umenia (Palace of Art) that serves as home to the Kosice State Philharmonic. We’ve gotten used to seeing the iconic dome, which is almost as visible as the city’s cathedral… but we’d never been inside until this week.
In town for a special concert was a friend of ours from our years in Birmingham/Virginia – Maestro Steven White, who conducted the orchestra for the evening. We enjoyed the concert, of course, but we very much enjoyed spending time with Steven while he’s been here. You can find out more about his work by visiting his website: http://www.stevenwhiteconductor.com/
We borrowed the photo below because we didn’t have our camera (and weren’t allowed to take photos anyway).
